This is a bout a bike that started life as a 1974 SS350 AMF-Harley Davidson Sprint,

the idea was to built a cafe racer and use my Sportster as a base, not a bad idea but ..

actually I didn't and left the Sportster as it was , too much $$$ already put into that so

there was this other option , get an old - cheap  bike and built a cafe - racer from that.

Then I came across this sprint ,some one did see it on a swapmeet and told me about it

went looking for it and ............ yep bought it .   just click here for more info on that.

The earlier factory road-racer are known as the Ala D' Oro  or CRTT  and the V-twins

as KRTT and later as the XRTT , mine is not like one of them so gonna call it an SSTT

it has the wrong frame (cradle frame ) to be a Ala D' Oro  or an CRTT  ( backbone frame)

and the wrong engine for a KRTT or a XRTT mine being a single cyl. engine so 1 short

but it's going to look  like one of them TT models so what the heck, I call it a SSTT    :-)

got curious ??

Then click below, I did put the info in several sections .

after checking them out you might want to have a look at  the new index page click here!

Today it's May 7 and I did make some progress  since the last update on this page ...

the frame is painted and the wheels or in it , a rollin' chassis so to speak

put the wiring on it but that's not finished yet , needs to be hooked up on all the elec. parts

and the last but not least the engine has to moved from one frame into the other..

and more progress today (May 30 2002) check out the frame page.

took a long time to get some new updates but today August 18 I do have some news..

so check it out here

Time passes quickly it's Saturday October 5th today

last week I fabricated a shifter mechanism it's not the worlds most fanciest but it works.

so the bike is ready to ride which I already did 2 short test rides and it looks like everything is OK.

for details on the rear sets  click here for the latest pictures click here

March 14 about time for some updates, well there have bin a few..

but this page is gettin' kinda full so go here
